As the 2008 season begins, Arena League Player insurance providers have changed but your insurance benefits remain the same. Effective February 1st, 2008, AFL Players Insurance has changed from CIGNA to BlueCross BlueShield of Illinois (BCBS). All players on an AFL 24-Man Roster or IR have BCBS medical and dental insurance as well as EyeMed vision insurance. Players with 2+ seasons have $25,000 of term life insurance from Aetna. Players with 1 season have $15,000 term life insurance.
